A plane flipped over while taxiing at the Middleton Municipal Airport at 8300 Airport Road on Thursday afternoon, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Police and other emergency personnel responded to the call at 12:49 p.m.; no injuries were reported in the incident, and only one person was in the plane.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident. The pilot was maneuvering close to the runway prior to takeoff when the incident occurred; the speed of the plane at the time is unknown but is not believed to be a factor in the accident.
The city-owned airport housed roughly 100 aircraft as of 2019; as a general aviation facility, it does not host commercial aircraft.
