Middleton-based NitricGen walked away with the grand prize in the 2013 Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest. The early-stage company developed a device to treat diabetic foot ulcers. Other winners included Gristmill Studios of Fitchburg, a mobile and Xbox game development firm; V-Glass of Pewaukee, which makes insulated glass to improve energy efficiency; and Delafield-based Balanz, which has designed a system to measure efficiency and wear and tear for semi-trailers trucks. Winners will share a total of $200,000 worth of cash and business services.
