While Nike is known for signing a stable of sports stars from football, soccer, basketball and more, for the first time ever it has added pickleball to its stable of athletes, CNBC reports.
Pickleball player Anna Leigh Waters is the company’s first partnership in the sport of pickleball, which has become big business, especially in Madison.
Waters is 18 years old and will represent Nike in apparel and footwear in professional competitions and serve as a global ambassador.
Waters is ranked first in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
