Nike cuts 1,400 jobs

Nike’s Just Do It ad campaign is about perseverance, but these days it could be about making a move to cut jobs at the athletics giant.  

Another round of layoffs was announced by Nike on Thursday, affecting about 1,400 employees, mostly in its technology departmentCNBC reported. 

The move is part of a “Win Now” strategy Nike is implementing to reshape its technology department and modernize manufacturing.  

The layoffs amount to just under 2% of the company’s global team.

Nike also cut 775 jobs in January at U.S. distribution centers.
