CNBC reported the National Football League and Paramount Skydance are in renewal talks with CBS for Sunday game broadcasts.

The deal could feature a price increase that would see CBS, which pays about $2.1 billion a year to broadcast Sunday afternoon games, paying over $3 billion

If pushed forward, the NFL would also eliminate an opt-out clause after the 2029-2030 season that gave the league an opportunity to leave the deal early.

The new fee could go into effect next season.
