Soggy golf courses and fewer golf rounds in 2018 are painting a bleak future for the city’s four golf courses, which were designed to be self-sustainable.

Last year, the courses — Yahara Hills, Monona, Glenway, and Odana — saw revenues drop $863,320. With wet weather continuing this spring, the city is once again looking for options. Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway has established a special task force to study the options available.

Parks superintendent Eric Knepp reported the grim news and asked the city to take action, according to a Capital Timesreport.
