New Vicino Apartments open in Madison’s Greenbush neighborhood

Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corp. announced Wednesday that Vicino Apartments, located at 1235 Regent St., will open its doors this week. 

Vicino, meaning “neighbor” in Italian, consists of 50 new mixed-income apartments and a small commercial space in the Greenbush neighborhood. 

Vicino includes studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. Of the 50 apartments, 38 are income-restricted and 12 are market-rate.  

Regent Cuts Barbershop will be on the ground floor at the corner of Regent and Orchard streets.

Residents will have access to underground parking, onsite management, private balconies and a community room with a rooftop terrace overlooking the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Camp Randall.
