Trisept Solutions of Bayside has formally announced its intention to form a joint venture with Blue Star Infotech, merging two technology firms into a new business entity called Blue7 Solutions.

The new entity will be a travel technology services center that could eventually create up to 250 new jobs over the next five years in Bayside.

Blue Star, based in Mumbai, India, had announced the joint venture last week in a letter of intent and the two companies made it official Tuesday in a press conference attended by Blue Star Infotech CEO Sunil Bhatia, Trisept Solutions CEO John Ische, and Gov. Scott Walker.

According to Walker, the new jobs, which will include software developers and engineers, would pay an average salary of $60,000 per year.
