New vehicle sales slump in Dane County

Month after month, sales of new cars have been slipping, and July was no different. According to Reg-Trak of Waterloo, sales of new cars in Dane County slouched 14.65% compared to July 2013. Only 973 cars were sold, compared to 1,140 in July 2013. Truck purchases grew 7.55%, from 1,218 in July 2013 to 1,310 this year, but it was not enough to compensate for the loss of cars overall, resulting in a 3.18% drop in sales of new vehicles (cars and trucks) for July.
