Sales of new vehicles in southcentral Wisconsin during May fell 6.95% to 3,588, compared with 3,856 sales a year ago, according to Reg-Trak of Waterloo. This marks the second straight monthly drop in the region this year, a Wisconsin State Journal report notes.
Despite a 4.52% rise in truck sales, car sales were down 22.74% in May, Reg-Trak said.
Dane County’s new-vehicle sales also fell for the second time this year, by 8.34% year-over-year. Car and truck sales in the county were also down year-over-year in May, by 18.52% and 0.17%, respectively.
