Tellurian Behavioral Health is set to open a downtown Madison facility this fall, WMTV15 reports. Named Jake’s Place, it will offer expanded services for people facing mental health and addiction challenges.
The facility is privately funded through a donation from Fairway Mortgage founder Steve Jacobson and will be located at 702 W. Main St. The building’s name will honor his father, Darryll E. Jacobson, whose struggles with addiction inspired the gift.
Jake’s Place will be accessible by bus and situated near a hospital. It will house psychiatrists, medical doctors, housing support and case management, according to Kevin Florek, Tellurian’s president and CEO.
Tellurian is still raising funds to support the facility’s expanded programming and services.
