New study ranks Wisconsin third-cheapest state for auto repairs

A study from MarketWatch Guides found Wisconsin to be the No. 3 cheapest U.S. state for auto repairs. It follows only Ohio and Vermont and is joined by Michigan, North Dakota, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Arkansas, and West Virginia in the top 10 cheapest states for car repairs.

The study found that factors including mechanic wages, household income, cost of living, type of vehicle, road conditions, and weather can influence the cost of car repairs.

Among states with the highest auto repair costs were California, Hawaii, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington, Utah, and Georgia.
