New study ranks ‘coolest careers’ in Wisconsin, across US

Career guidance platform career.io recently conducted a study to discover the “coolest careers” in every state. The company surveyed 3,002 respondents, asking them to name the most enviable jobs across the U.S.

Wisconsin’s top three coolest careers included:

  • No. 1 — Brewmaster, Miller Brewery (Milwaukee);

  • No. 2 — Motorcycle design engineer, Harley-Davidson (Milwaukee); and

  • No. 3 — Principal scientist, GE HealthCare (Waukesha).

Nationally, the the top 5 coolest careers included:

  • No. 1 — Animator, Pixar Animation Studios (Emeryville, California);

  • No. 2 — Paleontologist, Field Museum (Chicago, Illinois);

  • No. 3 — Research scientist, The Hershey Company (Hershey, Pennsylvania);

  • No. 4 — Wildlife biologist, Yellowstone National Park (Yellowstone, Wyoming); and

  • No. 5 — Marine biologist, NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (Honolulu, Hawaii).
