According to NBC15, Wisconsin legislators introduced a new bill on Tuesday that aims to tackle the state’s workforce shortage and poverty. The bill addresses workforce development, transportation, and housing, among other issues.
The Wisconsin Opportunity Act would direct critical programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and connect Wisconsinites with prospective employers. It would also provide other resources necessary to re-enter the workforce.
