Thalaisva’s Indian Cuisine, a South Indian restaurant owned by Ameen Khan, is set to open in Waunakee this February, according to the Waunakee Tribune. After launching the restaurant in Middleton just two months ago, Khan is expanding to serve a broader clientele across Dane County.
Specializing in authentic South Indian cuisine, Thalaisva’s menu features freshly made dishes customized to customer preferences. Khan, who noticed a lack of traditional South Indian food in the area, employs experienced chefs from California, New York, and Chicago, all with over a decade of expertise in South Indian cooking.
Khan emphasizes the uniqueness of South Indian cuisine, known for its complex spice blends and time-tested recipes. “The meat, the food, the spices, the blend — everything is in-home,” he said.
The Waunakee location marks a step forward for Khan, who views the Middleton restaurant as a foundation for growth. He attributes his success to happy customers and a commitment to providing high-quality food at reasonable prices.
