Mexican-fusion restaurant BelAir Cantina will replace Francesca’s al Lago on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Madison. Francesca’s recently closed.

BelAir Cantina, part of the Wisconsin-based Toro, Toro, Toro restaurant group, is expected to open later this summer. There four BelAirCantina’s in the Milwaukee area, and another will open in Brookfield in spring.

Meanwhile, on Monona Drive, Vicente Sacramento, a longtime area chef and baker, will open Monona Bakery and Eatery at 4544 Monona Drive on Feb. 17. According to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal, Sacramento and co-owner Claudia Santos delayed the restaurant’s opening until Friday because they didn’t want it to interfere with the “Day Without Immigrants” strike today.
