A Madison restaurant opened by three Ukrainian immigrants just under two years ago is set to close May 31, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Touch of Ukraine reportedly has not received sufficient business to pay its bills and will soon be replaced by a new restaurant group.

The new business will be run by the group behind downtown Madison’s Rare Steakhouse and has offered jobs to the entire Ukrainian staff. The name and menu of the new restaurant has not yet been decided, but the group says the spot will not be as high-end as the Rare on Capitol Square.

Remodeling work is scheduled to begin June 2 and conclude by Aug. 15. The restaurant would open by late August or early September following employee training.
