Taqueria Los Atlantes, owned by the Falcon family, is set to open a new location on Park Street in the former Lane’s Bakery space, pending approval from Madison’s Community Development Authority (CDA), according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The CDA will meet Thursday about the Falcons’ plan to rent the space in the Village on Park commercial development.
Los Atlantes currently has locations at 5706 Raymond Road in southwest Madison and at 300 S. Main St. in Verona. The spots were opened in January 2017 and December 2022, respectively.
The Falcon family says the 4,875-square-foot space at 2304 S. Park St. needs some renovation. The family currently has access to store equipment, although they haven’t started their official lease.
The spot will offer menu items including mole and other Mexican fare, as well as Americanized offerings like taco salad, cheese curds, and mini corn dogs, similar to its Verona menu. The Falcon family also plans to feature items with vegetarian Impossible Foods products.
