Brian Trejo has opened El Alegre in DeForest, serving authentic, traditional Mexican food, according to a DeForest Times-Tribunestory.
Trejo has been working in or around restaurants since he was a teenager, and has been receiving help from family members, some who work at or own restaurants around the area.
El Alegre is located at 314 N. Main St. in DeForest and will also have a sidewalk café.
