A new luxury apartment building, One 09, will open this summer a few blocks from the Capitol Square, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The 14-story high-rise at 109 E. Wilson St. will feature a food hall and views of the Isthmus and Lakes Monona and Mendota.
One 09 will offer 340 apartments, a top-floor fitness center, a rooftop pool and private lounge and dining areas. A 9,000-square-foot food hall with seven vendor spaces, a steakhouse and cocktail lounge will occupy the building’s ground floor, and an outdoor promenade will separate it from an open-air dining area overlooking Lake Monona.Â
The 35-foot-wide promenade, designed by Madison architecture firm Potter Lawson, will stretch 160 feet and include room for events and seating. Its structure will allow it to connect directly to the future Madison LakeWay — a 1.7-mile redevelopment of the Lake Monona waterfront.Â
One 09 is also planned to offer a co-working space, a golf simulator and a dog run.
