A new Japanese restaurant will soon occupy the former My Sister’s Kitchen space in Middleton, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Owner Sunny Hsu, who opened Chinese restaurant Dynasty II on the Beltline frontage road off Todd Drive in 2018, plans to serve sushi, noodle soup, and more at the restaurant, which will open within two or three months.

Hsu bought the former My Sister’s Kitchen building at 2227 Parmenter St. two years ago and plans to remodel it soon. He and his wife, Xue Li Yang, also remodeled a former Perkins restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells and opened Sunny Asian Gourmet there around six months ago. They ended their lease for the Dynasty II building around nine months ago.

The new restaurant’s name will include “Sunny” but has not been decided yet; Hsu also continues to search for a chef.
