A new craft studio in Madison is offering customizable craft kits for users of all ages and skill levels, according to NBC15. The Curious Crafter’s mission is to encourage inclusivity and accessibility in a creative space.

After getting its start as an online business during the pandemic, the Curious Crafter moved to a small studio space in Hilldale. It now occupies a space at 4678 Cottage Grove Road.

The studio offers craft kits for adults and children, ranging from simple to more challenging. Crafters have a choice of colors, materials, and designs for their kits. The business also offers a community space for celebrations and workshops with area artists.

The craft studio will host its first event, “Paint Your Pet Night,” this evening from 6–8 p.m. Crafters should send a picture of their pet to the studio ahead of the event, where it will be sketched onto a canvas for crafters to paint. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit local animal organizations.
