Craft brewery New Glarus Brewing Co. will break ground on a $55 million, 65,000-square-foot expansion of its headquarters this month, according to the BizTimes. The project will soon be underway at the company’s Hilltop Facility at 2400 Highway 69 in the Green County village of New Glarus.
The expansion space will include areas for brewing, distilling, and retail as well as offices and a beer depot. The design will facilitate additional parking and includes sustainability features like grass roofs and a geothermal field to lower energy usage.
New Glarus is ranked No. 12 among the top 50 largest craft brewers in the U.S. It was founded nearly 30 years ago.
