While New Glarus Brewing Co. isn’t opening its distillery and tasting room until next year, the company offered social media followers a sneak peek of the tasting room, which features 100-year-old stained glass.
That is, in illustrated form.
Lead architect and project manager Katherine May, also the daughter of brewery owners Deb and Dan Carey, drew the illustrations (her mother has drawn many of the beer labels, showing a multi-generational talent for drawing).
The expansion will total 65,000 square feet, with spirits sold only at the New Glarus tasting room and gift shop, foregoing distribution to liquor stores.
The tasting room will feature a 40-foot-long bar as well as the century-old stained glass.
