JR Mocanu and RED/Jacknife co-owner Jack Yip recently opened Public Parking, a new craft cocktail bar, at 711 E. Johnson St., according to The Capital Times. The spot is open 4 p.m.–2 a.m. daily.

Mocanu and Yip built Public Parking with general manager Lucas Endres and MoTiS Architecture’s Matt Tills over the course of 18 months, with Jay Kang and Supreme Construction working on the buildout. The business represents the eighth bar opening Mocanu has been a part of but the first of which he’s been an owner.

The owners anticipate changing the menu roughly 10 times per year.
