The addition of a new Veterans Administration health care program means Monona-based WPS Health Insurance will be adding as many as 280 employees. Most will work at the company’s Wausau location, and about 30 will be added in Monona. WPS subcontracts with TriWest Healthcare Alliance of Phoenix for the Patient-Centered Community Care program. That program will be expanding, creating the need for more staff.
