Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced Clement Abongwa as the new commissioner for the Dane County Department of Highway & Transportation.
Abongwa has extensive experience in transportation infrastructure design, construction project management, civil engineering application, and highway operations maintenance. His past roles include serving as the Kenosha County Public Works Highway Commissioner and Wisconsin Department of Transportation Southeast Freeway Construction Supervisor.
Abongwa received both his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and master of science degree in structural engineering from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. His confirmation as commissioner of the Dane County Highway & Transportation Department is pending final approval by the County Board.
