According to NBC15, a nonprofit sanctuary for aging and sick dogs, Jane’s Journey Home, opened earlier this month on a 36-acre property in Baraboo.
The nonprofit is named for Jane Barton, mother of co-founder Larry Barton, from whose trust the organization was begun.
The organization offers education and other services to pet owners as well as a foster network, in addition to providing a home for older dogs.
It is currently seeking volunteers for providing services at the sanctuary, organizing fundraisers, and supporting community education and outreach. Donations are also welcome.
