University Research Park has requested $2.6 million in TIF from the city of Madison to build a five-story, $60 million headquarters for Exact Sciences that could add between 200 and 440 new jobs in coming years.
Madison-based Exact Sciences, which has developed Cologuard, a non-invasive, home screening test for colon cancer and is working on other cancer tests, already has employees working in three separate buildings throughout the park. The proposed headquarters would bring them together under one roof next to the company’s existing R&D facility at 501 Charmany Drive, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
The structure — tentatively named Innovation One — would be leased back to Exact Sciences.
