Madison-based NeuWave Medical has secured nearly $4.8 million as part of an $11.6 million funding round. Its minimally invasive technique to attack cancerous tumors using microwave energy has been for sale since 2011. The company has raised more than $30 million since launching in 2008. Venture Investors is one of its ongoing investors.
