A collaboration between south side Madison’s Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development and UW–Madison will help support men transitioning back into society following incarceration, Madison365 reports.
The pilot program, “Build Up,” will offer opportunities to engage with formerly incarcerated peers; discuss the challenges of reentering the community; provide tools and resources for making well-informed decisions; and more.
Beginning on March 18, there will be 13 sessions at the UW South Madison Partnership, each lasting 90 minutes, over the seven-module program. “Build Up” is a paid opportunity for eligible participants ages 18 and older who were formerly incarcerated in a men’s facility.
