Nebraska probiotic developer acquires Madison facility

Lincoln, Nebraska-based probiotic developer Synbiotic Health has acquired a 43,000-square-foot space in Madison, according to a release from the company. The new R&D facility is expected to be operational in early 2023 and will focus on “scale-up and development of efficient commercial processes.” The facility will be built out to specifically support probiotics in an environment that features very low humidity levels in all areas where probiotic ingredients will be found. When fully operational, the Madison site will employ up to 35 employees, which will include technical, operations, and administrative personnel. The address of the new facility has not yet been released.
