An online survey of construction firms by the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin showed 89 percent of those surveyed reported they have experienced postponement or cancellation of a project due to the COVID-19 pandemic during the months or March and/or April.
Among other findings, 44 percent of contractors laid off field workers and 78 percent had applied for the Paycheck Protection Program.
