National Presto Industries, Inc. of Eau Claire has acquired the assets of ALS Technologies, Inc., an Arkansas manufacturer of “less-than-lethal” ammunition.
While best known for household appliances, National Presto operates in three business segments, including defense. ALS products are sold primarily to law enforcement and corrections facilities. The products, which generate about $7.5 million in sales, include smoke and tear gas grenades, specialty impact munitions, and support accessories like launchers and gas masks.
