The latest Marquette Law School poll finds that the approval of the U.S. Supreme Court is at a new low, falling to 38%, while 61% of survey respondents disapprove of how the court is handling its job. In May, the court had a 44% approval rating, and 55% disapproved of how the court was handling its job. In September 2020, approval of the court was at 66%. The sharp decline follows the court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that established a constitutional right to abortion.
