MPWG raises over $100K for local nonprofits

Madison Professional Women for Good (MPWG) announced that since its inception in September 2022, the giving circle has raised and granted over $100,000 to local nonprofits.

Founded just two years ago, MPWG is a group of professional women from diverse backgrounds who work to give back. Over the past two years, MPWG has awarded grants to a number of nonprofits, including:

  • Maydm Inc. — $12,300 to support technical education for girls and youth of color;

  • Box of Balloons Inc. — $13,000 to help all children experience a birthday celebration;

  • Sunshine Place Inc. — $15,100 to help provide social services to those in need;

  • Felicia’s Donation Closet Inc. — $14,700 to support families with essential items during times of crisis;

  • Free Bikes 4 Kidz Madison Inc. — $13,800 to provide bicycles to children, promoting healthy lifestyles;

  • The Playing Field Inc. — $11,300 to support early childhood education for low-income families; and

  • Friends of the Madison Arts Commission — $7,700 to foster arts and cultural initiatives in Madison.

Most recently, in August 2024, Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin Inc. received a $12,200 grant to support its animal rescue and rehoming efforts.
