Milwaukee Public Schools’ (MPS) required 2023 financial reports are set to be submitted to the state Department of Public Instruction (DPI) by Thanksgiving — around one year late, WMTV15 reports.

MPS Superintendent Eduardo Galvan cited outdated software, staffing shortages, and insufficient training behind the recent financial issues. Leaders anticipate the 2024 documents will be submitted late as well, but the 2025 financial documents are expected on time.
