The Moxy Madison Downtown hotel will open March 28 at 823 E. Washington Ave., according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The city’s newest hotel from NCG has a number of eclectic features, including its lack of a traditional front desk (guests check in at the bar); self-service cabinets on each floor for extra supplies or conveniences; a dumb waiter shuttling drinks from the first floor bar to the second floor lounge and library; and more. Among its other amenities are a fireplace, an eighth-floor restaurant with a balcony, and a 1,250-square-foot event space including a balcony and views of Lake Monona.
Stays at the hotel, situated on a lot only 60 feet wide, will range from $140 to over $500 per night. The Moxy Madison Downtown is Wisconsin’s first Moxy and the second opened by NCG, which opened a Moxy in Omaha, Nebraska last year.
