Movie theaters get $10 million in relief

Gov. Tony Evers announced Wisconsin movie theaters will share $10 million in CARES Act funding to help during the economic hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a release from the administration.

Milwaukee-based Marcus Cinemas, with two locations in Madison, will receive $4 million and Flix Brewhouse in Madison will receive $131,578. The average award is $14,600 per screen.
