The Norsk Golf Club, one of Dane County’s oldest public golf courses, has been put it up for sale and its owners will ask the Mount Horeb Village Board for a third time to approve re-zoning the property so it can be developed into businesses and residences, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

The nine-hole course is located along Business Highway 151, Mount Horeb’s busiest road, and is surrounded by commercial properties.

The golf course is zoned for agriculture and the owners want the Village Board to approve re-zoning a portion of the property fronting Springdale Avenue for commercial property, another portion just behind it for multi-family residences, and the remaining acreage for single-family residences.
