Mounds raises $14,000 for pet rescue group

Madison-based Mounds Pet Food Warehouse has raised $14,000 for Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin, according to a statement from the company. The funds were raised by a campaign in which customers were asked to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar to help local animal organizations. Each year, the company holds three donation campaigns, and September’s campaign was the largest of those held in 2022. The funds will allow the rescue group to save the lives of over 70 dogs and cats according to the director of the rescue group that places animals in volunteer foster homes. Mounds Pet Food Warehouse is an employee-owned pet food and pet supply company with locations in Middleton, Fitchburg, Janesville, Madison, and Sun Prairie.
