Most Dane County municipal, school referenda pass, unofficial results say

The votes are in for several municipal and school referenda throughout Dane County, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Results are unofficial but, as of around midday today, stand as follows:

Municipal referenda

  • Fitchburg, operating costs — no (53% to 47%);

  • Madison, operating costs — yes (57% to 43%);

  • Maple Bluff, operating costs — yes (55.3% to 44.7%);

  • Middleton, stormwater management — yes (66.7% to 33.3%); and

  • Monona, operating costs — yes (50.3% to 49.7%).

School referenda

  • DeForest, operating costs — yes (56.1% to 43.9%);

  • Madison, operating costs — yes (69.4% to 30.6%);

  • Madison, capital projects — yes (71.9% to 28.1%);

  • Marshall, operating costs — yes (56.7% to 43.3%);

  • McFarland, operating costs — yes (56.8% to 43.2%);

  • Mount Horeb, capital projects — yes (62.5% to 37.5%);

  • Sun Prairie, operating costs — yes (57.2% to 42.8%); and

  • Waunakee, operating costs — yes (54.7% to 45.3%).
