The Monona Terrace will be temporarily shut down next month for renovations, NBC15 reports. The convention center will be closed from Tuesday, Jan. 9–Friday, Jan. 16.
Changes coming to the facility include replacement of 125,442 square feet of signature carpeting, with the new carpeting nearly identical to the old design; restoration of wood doors and furniture; and application of fresh paint throughout the building.
Monona Terrace renovations are scheduled to occur every 10 years.
