Top Golf and SWD Management on June 10 presented a proposal to the Monona Plan Commission regarding a new Top Golf driving range on part of the WPS campus off of the Beltline highway, according to HNGNews.

The plans for the 36,000-square-foot entertainment complex at the corner of Gisholt Drive and Engel Street include a two-story driving range with 72 climate-controlled bays, an event space, a restaurant and bar, and a patio area. Top Golf Director of Real Estate Development Todd Waldo said the development would take up about 11 acres of land — including parking — on a 16-acre site. An initial construction investment would total around $30 million.

The location would be the company’s first in Wisconsin and would create an estimated 300 jobs. It is also expected to spur further development and tourism in the area. The company would aim to start construction in 2025 and open in 2026.
