The Monona Grove School District may sell the district’s administration and Maywood buildings, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
On Dec. 16, its school board took steps to appraise both properties.
The administration building at 5301 Monona Drive in Monona is 7.4 acres and 65,000 square feet of space.
The Maywood building at 902 Nichols Road in Monona is located on 7.7 acres and has 39,000 square feet of space.
The board also authorized that the district can begin planning for the relocation of administration offices and charter school MG21, which shares a campus with the current administration building, to Taylor Prairie Elementary in Cottage Grove.
When the 2026-2027 school year begins, Taylor Prairie won’t be used as an elementary school, and its students will attend Cottage Grove Elementary.
There is no plan yet for students who are based in the Maywood building.
