After 18 years, Monona Garden Family Restaurant, at 6501 Bridge Road in Monona, has closed, according to a release from Dane County. The restaurant building will be razed to make way for Besa Monona, a mixed-use housing development that includes 17 “live-work” spaces — commercial/office and residential space owned by the same resident — and 39 rental units. The project is being proposed by partners Christopher Gosch and Jason Iverson of Lithosphere LLC.
