Molson Coors is closing down operations at its historic Leinenkugel’s Chippewa Falls brewery and its Tenth Street Brewery in Milwaukee on Jan. 17, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. President Tony Bugher made the announcement on Wednesday.
He said Leinenkugel’s production would end at the Chippewa facility, with brewing of Leinenkugel’s branded products shifted to the primary Molson Coors plant in Milwaukee. The news follows the end of a large contract brewing agreement and major investment in the Milwaukee brewery.
