Moderna says vaccine works in kids as young as 12

Moderna has released its preliminary findings stating its COVID-19 vaccine strongly protects kids as young as 12, according to a report from the Associated Press. The findings, based on testing on more than 3,700 12- to 17-year-olds in the United States, suggests the shot could become the second option for that age group in the U.S. Earlier this month, the U.S. and Canada authorized the shot made by Pfizer and BioNTech to be used starting at age 12.
