MobCraft Beer is hosting its sixth annual Mobtoberfest celebration on Saturday, Sept 16 at 11 a.m. in the Walker’s Point taproom located at 505 S. 5th St. in Milwaukee.
The festival will feature live polka bands from 12–7 p.m.; German-inspired fare, such as pretzels with dips and brats with kraut; Oktoberfest-themed games and competitions; as well as plenty of beer — including Mobtoberfest Märzen, a classic Oktoberfest-style Lager. In addition, MobCraft will be serving several other German-inspired beers, several other beer styles on draft, ciders, hard seltzers, and nonalcoholic options.
The live entertainment kicks off at noon with a three-hour set from Ray Koncar and the Boys. The music continues with a set from Accordion Gal at 3:15 p.m., followed by Chad Pryzbelski and His Polka Rhythms from 4–7 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, there will be various competitions including beer chugging (1:15 p.m.), stein holding (2:25 p.m.), and polka dancing (5 p.m.). The contests will be capped off with a sausage sculpting competition at 6 p.m. — registration will start at 5 p.m.
