Madison Metropolitan School District’s (MMSD) Lake View Elementary School received a donation of nearly $12,000 in musical instruments and accessories from the Morgan Wallen Foundation, coinciding with the country music performer’s recent two-night concert stop at Camp Randall Stadium, the venue’s first concert series in nearly three decades.
The donation, valued at $11,293, includes:
-
Classroom sets of glockenspiels, metallophones, xylophones, handbells and resonator bells;
-
More than three dozen sets of mallets;

30 soprano ukulele string sets; and
-
Eight mobile Orff stands to support flexible music instruction.
The instruments will be used by Lake View students beginning this fall and aim to enhance the school’s music education.
The donation was administered by the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, a national nonprofit that works to expand access to high-quality music education for underserved schools across the U.S.
